Margot Robbie isn’t one to play it safe on the red carpet. From the caped Celine look she wore to the London premiere of Amsterdam to the distinctly bridal Chanel gown she sported at the New York premiere of the movie, the star loves a head-turning fashion moment.
At the WSJ Innovator Awards, Robbie eschewed her usual voluminous dresses and instead chose a white Proenza Schouler tailored suit to wear to the event. But it wasn’t your typical trousers-and-blazer combo: True to the brand’s contemporary approach to silhouettes, the trousers were wide-leg flares that dusted the floor, while the jacket was a longline cut. Underneath, she wore a black stretch lace shirt that offered a bold contrast.
The actor has tried offbeat suiting before. You may remember the siren-red suit by The Andamane, featuring Lycra leggings and an oversized blazer, that she wore to promote Suicide Squad 2 in LA last summer.
Here’s hoping Margot Robbie pulls out the hot-pink suits for her Barbie press tour, because what could be better than a real-life Barbie moment?
