Former First Lady Michelle Obama made a guest appearance on ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ on Tuesday (November 15), where she talked about a wide range of topics that included the Obama family’s private life, her thoughts on the Jan 6th insurrection, and the message to young people contained in her new book, ‘The Light We Carry.’
Mrs O wore a look that needs zero introduction.
After all, these gold embroidered sequins have very much become a signature and mainstay of any Michael Kors Collection.
But what I’ve noticed is that these gold sequin pieces are having more red carpet time the closer we get to the holidays.
Michael Kors’ gold sparkles have been worn by Ugbad Abdi for the 2022 CFDA Awards, Patina Miller at the 2022 Glamour Awards and Bella Hadid for the God’s Love We Deliver 16th Annual Golden Heart Awards within the last four weeks.
Michelle joins them by wearing a gold hand-embroidered sequin turtleneck bodysuit and with pleated trousers from the Spring 2023 collection.
If you know how I feel about Michelle’s style in general, you’ll know that I love this look.
But that’s not just because it’s Mrs O, more to the point that she always dresses very elegantly for any occasion, as she never under or overdresses.
Plus, this was a union of two American icons. What’s not to love?
