Anna Kendrick sat down with host Kelly Clarkson on yesterday’s episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” wearing a blue, green and yellow pastel dress splashed in warp prints from top to bottom.
Kendrick’s dress had slight puff-sleeved accents at the shoulders which later enlarged in size as statement sleeves. The bodice featured a train of miniature buttons from the collar down to the hem of the dress. There was a delicate transition between the fitted corset and flared skirt component of her soft-hued ensemble with the round belt cinched at the waist.
Honing in the aesthetic of her delicate prairie dress, her hair was styled in a half-up, half-down ponytail with two face-framing strands left loose in the front. The hairstyle gave just the right glimpse at the round drop earrings she accessorized with.
Although the dress channeled regencycore, Kendrick’s stylist switched up the colorway with reflective chrome pointed-toe pumps. The heel ascended from 3 to 4 inches in height. Brands to offer that metallic hue include Nine West with its Arive Pointy Toe Pump and Gianvito Rossi with its Gianvito 105 Pump in Mekong Gold.
Both Clarkson and Kendrick looked whimsical in distinct textures and fabrics. Clarkson took on lace and tulle in a soft blue gown paired with similar-hued opera gloves. She spoke about her upcoming role in “Alice, Darling,” with Clarkson, as she is set to play the lead actor in the psychological thriller directed by Mary Nighy.
Kendrick was also joined on the talk show by actor Jordan L. Jones. Since the episode had a Christmas theme to it, both actors participated in a holiday bake-off — even the festive denim apron she wore heightened the dress’ signature puff sleeves.
