There are certain themes when it comes to the Old Hollywood glamour aesthetic: cinched waistlines, floor-sweeping silk gowns and capes, an abundance of crystal and feather details. And it’s no surprise that stars still turn to the looks pioneered by the likes of Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly to this day. But this week, Florence Pugh gave the retro style a ’90s spin.
At last night’s British Independent Film Awards, the 26-year-old Don’t Worry Darling actor served up a look that was elegant, sweet and boudoir-ready all at once—a style that she has a penchant for. The look, from Rodarte’s autumn/winter 2022 collection, comprised a baby-pink silk slip dress with a lace trim and romantic floral embellishments (with a dangerously high slit), and a matching organza cape in the same confectionary shade. Florence accessorized with jewelry from Tiffany & Co. and a pair of strappy Aquazzura heels.
