Naomi Ackie attended the ‘Whitney Houston: I Want To Dance With Somebody’ world premiere held at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater on Tuesday (December 13) in New York City.
If you didn’t know that the British actress was the lead actress in this film, this Schiaparelli Fall 2022 Haute Couture dress surely confirms it.
We’ve seen some beautiful Schiaparelli red carpet looks this year, but this dress – made entirely made of strands of crystals and silver glass bugle beads with a metal flower corset that is encrusted with rhinestones – is simply a sensational work of art.
I know that some of you are looking at the right-hand side and feeling that the positioning of the bodice isn’t quite right and that it needed a slight twist to the left, and I’ll admit, that’s my nagging feeling too.
But I’m kinda overlooking that as I’m blown away by the dress, and Naomi herself who is well overdue a major red carpet moment.
If you scroll through the carousel on Schiaparelli’s Instagram, you’ll be delighted to see that Naomi didn’t opt to wear the gold toe-capped shoes.
I personally wouldn’t have minded them with this look, but I think she ultimately made the right choice with her embellished strappy sandals.
