Dove Cameron took a gothic approach to dressing for her performance at “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest.” The special was broadcasted on ABC and also featured performances from Halle Bailey, Ciara and others.
Cameron closed out 2022 in layering silhouettes with only the cuffs of her deconstructed top contrasting in color. Her black bandeau top was distressed and featured a collar reminiscing of traditional tailoring. Long black sleeves covered her arms, adding an extra edgy to her outfit. A black cage was layered atop her black trousers that featured a multi-textured skirt, haltering below mid-drift.
For makeup, the singer went with siren-style eyeliner, neutral cheek shimmer and pin-straight face-framing strands.
To complement her monochromatic look, she opted for pointed-toe shoes. Although the style was eclipsed by the hem of her pants, the shoes likely featured 3 to 4-inch heels. Pointy heels are a great and classic choice to elongate the silhouette.
Cameron has taken to edgy dressing before. For her appearance at the iHeart Radio Jingle Ball in December, she coordinated chunky platform boots with wide-leg pants and an electric blue blazer. Gray and snug-sleeving accents peeked through from within the blazer as she opted for a bold red lip and eye shadow combination.
