It’s been a minute since the internet exploded over photos of hot couple Rita Ora and Taika Waititi getting cozy with fellow hot A-lister Tessa Thompson.
In case you forgot, in May of 2021, Ora and Waititi were spending time in Australia, where the famed director was filming Thor: Love and Thunder starring—you guessed it—Westworld actor Tessa Thompson. The trio interrupted everyone’s regularly scheduled pandemic gossip when they were photographed kissing and embracing at Waititi’s home in Sydney, sparking throuple rumors.
At the time, Waititi was unbothered by the media circus, telling Sydney Morning Herald, “I think in the world of the internet, everything goes away pretty quick. And also, is it that big a deal? No, not really. I was doing nothing wrong. It’s fine.” And that was pretty much that…until now.
Rita Ora and Taika Waititi had just confirmed their relationship in April of that year, but would eventually tie the knot in August 2022. Fast forward to January 2023 and we finally have the singer’s take on the feeding frenzy. “You can’t train for this shit,” she said of tabloid fodder.
“I just chose to not acknowledge that because it’s ridiculous,” the 32-year-old recently told British GQ. “I think when some things are so absurd, and it’s hard to fathom any sense of it, you just have to ignore it. I’ve taken that approach for a lot of things because you don’t want to put energy towards something that’s nonexistent. It’s like trying to explain something that didn’t happen means you’re feeding into nothing.”
