On Wednesday (February 15), dunhill & BSBP hosted a pre-BAFTA dinner and after-party held at The Club in Bourdon House.
A fixture of the awards season social calendar, this annual event unites the great and the good of the British film community ahead of the prestigious BAFTA ceremony on Sunday 19th February 2023.
Charithra Chandran’s Veronica Beard Josette velvet halter dress was giving me a strong case of déjà vu. Then I realised that she wore this same dress back in October.
The only difference is that she was wearing a pixie cut wig the first time around.
This is a rare classic look for Charlie Heaton who wore a dunhill tuxedo, but ever there was a time to opt for tried-and-true, this was it.
While I love how the focal point of Charlotte Riley outfit is the off-kilter charm of her button accented balloon pants, but I’m not sold on the shirt.
It’s feeling a little forced.
Me. I don’t like black dresses on the red carpet.
Also me. Salivating over how amazing Ellie Bamber looks in this Danamé Paris long sleeve black gown.
Cartier jewels and Jimmy Choo sandals completed her look.
Emily Beecham brought some much needed colour to this red carpet wearing a purple Stella McCartney gathered midi dress from the Fall 2022 collection.
While Emily wore the entire runway look including the Stella McCartney Alter chain linked bag and Stella McCartney crushed velvet boots, Laura Dern wore a modified version of this dress during her promo tour for ‘Jurassic World Dominion.’
You may feel that with Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s Prada printed dress that you’ve kinda been-there-and-done-that with this look, especially after Letitia Wright’s Prada dress worn to the 2023 Golden Globes.
I do love the olive hue against her skin-tone, but the styling is kinda, meh.
Joshua Jackson opted to bring a touch of retro-inspired charm to the red carpet courtesy of this exquisite dunhill suit.
Sheila Atim was the only actress to opt for a dunhill suit.
Like Joshua Jackson, she went with a lush velvet blazer.
I’m not sure what I dislike more here.
Stacy Martin’s Louis Vuitton Spring 2023 zipper and buckle print dress, or the way she styled it?
I think I’m going to settle for the latter.
Taron Egerton gave us James Bond elegance in a classic dunhill tux.
