Florence Pugh joined Cate Blanchett and Michelle Yeoh on the red carpet for the 2023 London Critics’ Circle Film Awards held at The Mayfair Hotel on Sunday (February 5).
The actress wore a look from the Robert Wun Spring 2023 Couture collection.
My first question when I saw this look was, “why the hat?”
Stylish as it may have appeared on the runway, it took this look into costume territory for me.
Florence looked more elegant without it in my opinion.
Then we come to the dress itself.
Many of you have felt that Florence hasn’t been given looks that flatter her.
Well, it looks like someone was listening because this strapless dress accented with a peplum is making her look 6ft tall.
However, if you’re having a case of déjà vu, that’s because we’ve seen this peplum twice before in red.
Most recently Keke Palmer, before her pregnancy reveal, and Joey King, who was the first celebrity to wear this designer on the red carpet back in 2020.
You may also remember that Bailey Bass wore this peplum in green to the ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ LA premiere back in December.
