I absolutely loved the Giambattista Valli Spring 2023 Haute Couture collection, but there are some looks that I love, yet wonder if they will need to be modified for the red carpet.
Case-in-point.
I adore these two looks – the red carpet particularly. I actually gasped when this gown hit the runway.
But are the bows on the red and flowers on the pink going to be too overwhelming for a celebrity on the red carpet.
As this is a wish-list, I wish to see the red gown on Zoe Saldana and the pink on Gabrielle Union.
In Gabby’s case, I can see her pulling off this look without any modifications.
For this floral number I can see it worn by someone who loves a fluffy moment so Frieda Pinto sprang to mind.
If GBV had created a modified version of this gown – without the cut-outs – I would love to see this silhouette on Catherine, Princess of Wales.
Sofia Carson loves a GBV tulle moment, so I think this petal pink gown will see her serve up something still delicate, but new.
I see this final gown on Eiza González. The colours would look stunning against her olive skin.
