Gisele Bündchen is supporting her ex after Tom Brady announced his retirement from the game of football (for the second time) on Wednesday, February 1.

The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback made his announcement early in the morning with a video shared on Instagram. And just a few short hours later, Brady’s ex-wife Gisele showed her support in the comments, writing, “Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life,” along with the praying hands emoji. Since their split, the couple has kept things amicable publicly, often commenting in support of each other on social media.

“Good morning, guys,” Brady said in his second retirement announcement video. “I’ll get to the point straight away. I’m retiring…for good.” Brady famously made his first retirement announcement about a year ago in early 2022 but changed his mind later. “I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first,” Brady continued.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen got divorced in October 2022 after months of rumors that the couple was on the outs, and rumors circulated that Brady’s decision to unretire drove them apart. The former couple got married in 2009 and share two children: 12-year-old Benjamin and 9-year-old Vivian. He also shares a 15-year-old son named Jack with his ex Bridget Moynahan
