On Thursday, February 9, Kate Middleton proved that her new title hasn’t gotten in the way of her ability to have some fun when she joined in to dance the “Hokey Cokey” (as the “Hokey Pokey” is called in the UK) along with a group of young children at the Dracaena Centre in Falmouth, Cornwall. Kate and Prince William were visiting the community center as a part of their first joint trip to the ceremonial county in southeast England since they became the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall last September.
The couple began their trip with a visit to the National Maritime Museum, where they helped a group of students from a nearby school who were building a boat. They later joined another group of students to race miniature boats in an indoor tank. When they left the museum, the Princess of Wales was greeted by Jim Embury, one of her history teachers at her prep school nearly 25 years ago.
“I do recognize you. I remember the classroom and everything,” she said, according to the BBC. “I’m trying to teach my daughter all the things you probably taught me.”
Following the walkabout where Kate Middleton encountered Embury, the couple visited the Dracaena Center, where they sat in on a session for mothers and young children. Later, they visited a new NHS Wellbeing Hub located in the center, which provides mental health support to the community.
