The surprising stand-out from the collections? The sensible grey coat, which popped up at Prada, Gucci, Armani, Bottega Veneta, Fendi, and on Victoria Beckham in Paris. Ashley Graham—who was photographed in several excellent looks on the front row at the shows—was clearly taking notes.
Her latest Instagram post finds the 35-year-old supermodel looking on trend while wearing a single-breasted tailored coat in whale grey. This being Graham, however, that no-nonsense coat was thrown on over a rather less sober dress: a figure-hugging Syndical Chamber floor-length number with a daring cut-out across the chest, basically stylishly ripped jeans in dress form, that she wore with black strappy sandals.

Fans are just as likely to find Ashley Graham sharing a candid snap of her postpartum hair loss as an impromptu photo shoot in Manhattan to capture her latest sensational look. “Let’s be honest, nobody is really sharing everything, because a) it’s invasive, and b) a lot of people just want to show you the glitz and the glam,” she previously told Vogue. “I can’t stand that.”
The biggest brands were all over the muted outerwear trend that Graham has picked up and run with. Consider the grey coat the most sensible wardrobe investment you can make ahead of autumn.
