Cate Blanchett attended the 2023 Film Independent Spirit Awards held on Saturday (March 4) in Santa Monica, California.
We’ve always known this as a beachy event. Where the spring florals flourish.
But considering that California has been experiencing mild weathers, heavy rain, hailstones and even snow in some parts, it makes sense that this year’s event will see a change in usual dress code.
With all that being said, I love that Cate gave us something different from her usual glam with this Loewe Fall 2018 cape sleeve asymmetrical jacket and trouser combo accented with blue piping.
The Spirit Awards has always been the most relaxed event during awards season where something different is expected.
Cate delivered on all fronts, but I have a feeling that this won’t go down well with the majority.
