Rooney Mara attended the 2023 Film Independent Spirit Awards held on Saturday (March 4) in Santa Monica, California.
I have spoken plenty about Rooney Mara’s love for black, white, and black-and-white red carpet looks, but the one other colour she will throw into the mix from time-to-time is red.
I’m not sure when the decision to deviate is made, but the last time we saw her in red was 2017, so I will expect to see her in red again in 2028. I hope you will all be here to see it.
The actress wore a red wool two-piece trouser set from the Givenchy Spring 1997 archives which was designed by Alexander McQueen.
I’m applauding the colour change, but also critiquing the fact that the peaked lapels needed one more steam before hitting the red carpet.
And I’m also missing the gold closure we saw on the runway.
This could’ve been great but ended up being a bit “meh” for me.
