Angela Bassett made her return to the red carpet following her impressive 2023 awards season run which gave us ten amazing looks.
During that period, she gave us five suits, so I wasn’t surprised to see the ‘Black Panther’ actress serve up another one, despite my ‘gowns for a gala’ preference for the TIME100 Gala.
That’s mostly because she looked amazing wearing a Gaurav Gupta Spring 2023 Couture suit, which she paired with a sexy sheer corset.
When it comes to the styling, I would’ve unbuttoned the coat and left the Gismondi 1754 High-Jewelry one-of-a-kind necklace at home.
As beautiful as it is, it is fighting for top billing with this extravagant suit.
However, I do love the Judith Leiber Retro Boombox bag which was much more complementary, and a fun addition to the look.
