The Looks We Loved From Daisy Jones & The Six - Bangstyle

Whether you’ve been listening to the soundtrack on repeat or have already started rewatching the show — it’s safe to say most of us have an obsession with Daisy Jones & The Six. From the plot line to the characters, the fashion and the beauty — we all needed a little style inspiration, and this season thanks to Daisy, it seems like we’ll be drawing it from the 70s.

Our Favorite Hairstyles from Daisy Jones & The Six

Feathered Waves

Apart from her straightforward character, the other thing we absolutely loved about the main character’s energy was her effortless cool hair. A stunning rich red shade with feathered waves and peek-a-book curtain bangs, it’s safe to say we all loved Daisy’s style. Played by Riley Keough, her waves flowed between polished and more undone, and we loved every iteration. To get the look, add to your natural texture with a curly iron or slightly smooth curls with a blow-dry or flat iron to achieve the free-spirited feel. Pair with a leave-in styler and a texture spray to create soft, sultry waves.

Smooth & Center

In opposition to Daisy’s free-spirited waves, we loved Camila’s smooth and straight finish all the same. Alternating between less and more volume depending on the occasion, Camilla, played by Camila Morrone, also looked fabulous with a half-up finish that hinted at a 60s voluminous bee-hive. Promoting the hair’s health is paramount with this finish, so hair should always be prepped with a heat protectant and finished with something for shine.

Disco Curls

We couldn’t decide which of Simone’s hairstyles we loved more, but as a tribute to her music, we’ll highlight her Disco Curls! Full, voluminous, and with a feathered finish these glam curls played into Simone’s new life in the city. The look can be achieved whether working with natural texture or with a small curling iron to build the structure. After nourishing the hair with a leave-in treatment or curl enhancer, add volume and hold with a texturizing spray for an airy, ethereal finish.

Voluminous Blowout

Real-life musician Suki Waterhouse — who has been a hair muse for us all the past few seasons — played the keyboard artist Karen in the show. Apart from her bouncy, voluminous blowout Waterhouse’s color was updated with a California blonde grown-out finish that added a rocker vibe. To achieve the look, pair your blowout with hot rollers and flexible hairspray to achieve the set. Alternatively, you can create a faux blowout to create these supermodel voluminous curls.

Perfectly Placed Plaits

If you blinked — or were on your phone at the time — you might have missed one of our favorite braided finishes, which we can’t find anywhere online. There are no spoiler alerts here, but when Billy first hears his song on the radio, two girls in a convertible bug have some seriously amazing braids. Their hair is smooth with a naturally-straight finish and with two thin braids at the crown falling straight while two long thin braids at the ear are pulled back to create a half-up effect. Bringing 16th-century braids into the 70s, we couldn’t help but adore this style. To ensure a natural fall, prep hair with a leave-in treatment and apply a lightweight pomade or oil to strands before braiding.
