Imagine, then, when moments before the start of the red carpet (which takes place prior to the screening and panel), when press were informed that due to scheduling issues, none of the above cast and creatives would be attending. In their place was Keith Cox, President, Development & Production, Paramount Network, Wendy Moniz (“Lynelle Perry”), Mo Brings Plenty (“Mo”), Dawn Olivieri (“Sarah Atwood”), and Josh Lucas (“Young John Dutton”). Deadline’s Lynette Rice moderated the panel.
To add more fuel to the fire, according to Variety‘s Emily Longeretta, during the red carpet, the cast in attendance confirmed that the second half of season five, which is supposed to air in the summer on Paramount Network, has not yet started filming and they have not been given a start date.
However, once Cox and the four attending cast members took the stage, the Paramount Network executive said he’s “very confident” star Kevin Costner is still committed to the series and is hopeful that production will get underway soon.
Tickets to each PaleyFest panel are priced starting around $45, but fans often make plans months in advance to attend the event, often driving for hours, or some flying from all over country and world.
