Eddie Redmayne has been going from classic Eddie looks, to looks that have been unexpected like his Alexander McQueen jumpsuit for the 2023 BAFTAs and his Gucci look for the 2022 GQ Men Of The Year Awards.
To honour the fashion pioneer Karl Lagerfeld at the 2023 Met Gala the British actor opted for classic tailoring, but with a twist.
Firstly in terms of the fit of his trousers, as Eddie usually veers towards a slim-fit look, and second in terms of the pearl brooch and draped chain embroidery which looked like camellia flowers dancing all over his jacket.
Will this look start a multi-brooch trend?
We will have to wait and see.
Eddie was impeccable as ever.
The British actor was accompanied by his wife Hannah Redmayne, who looked beautiful wearing an Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 archive gown featuring a draped pearl bodice and ruffled skirt which is a breath-taking creation.
An Alexander McQueen fringed knuckle clutch ensured this look had the expected McQueen edge.
I hope we will see more archive McQueen looks on the red carpet.
