2023 David Di Donatello Awards – considered by many as the Italian Oscars – took place on Wednesday (May 10) with Elodie collecting her first David Award in the Best Song category for ‘Proiettili (Ti mangio il cuore).’
I believe that was the only award she received on the night, because I can’t see her receiving the best dressed award.
I have been a huge fan of Elodie’s style (especially when she wears Versace), but this custom Valentino sheer, ruffled gown with a cape was majorly underwhelming to me.
Mostly because I know she can do better, and secondly the cape feels like an afterthought.
It would’ve been served better trailing from the back of the gown where the straps met the first tier.
This queen deserved better, especially for a custom look. This feels tired. Done to death.
Elodie would’ve been better off selecting a runway look, and Pierpaolo Piccioli should’ve saved this as a back up for Cannes Film Festival.
