Halle Bailey attended the premiere of ‘The Little Mermaid’ held at Toreo Parque Central Thursday (May 11) in Mexico.
The lead actress wore an ethereal Georges Chakra Spring 2004 Couture light green beaded halter gown featuring a laser cut lattice organza skirt from the designer’s archives.
I love the ethereal, romantic nature of the gown, and how the diaphanous fabric and beaded detail kept the look on theme, but I have a feeling that some will find this a little too booby for the actress, and the Disney feature she was promoting – especially if that was your initial feeling about her world premiere look.
Personally, I found the visible underlayer (my pet peeve) jarring, but it doesn’t prevent me from liking the selection of this gown for this promo tour, even though I strongly feel that her Met Gala look was better.
