Mindy Kaling attended the National Museum of Asian Art Centennial celebration dinner held on Thursday (May 11) in Washington, DC.
The actress wore a custom Couture look by Indian designer, Manish Malhotra who is widely known for his work with celebrities in Bollywood.
Bringing a touch of Bollywood the nation’s capital, Mindy looked breath-taking wearing this crop top and skirt featuring bold floral art work embroidered in black and gunmetal crystals, stones and sequins.
As if the look wasn’t elaborate or dramatic enough, she added a feather cape.
Did the look need the cape?
I don’t think it hurt the look in any way, as you know I’m always here for the drama.
But I love how you can see more of the detail of the look, such as the faux feather trim that lines the slit of the skirt and and the sleeves without it.
