Priyanka Chopra just had her very own Marilyn Monroe moment.
While out in New York City on Monday, May 8, ahead of her appearance on The View, Chopra was photographed wearing a white halter dress similar in neckline and silhouette to Monroe’s iconic white dress with a pleated skirt, which she originally wore on the set of the 1955 film The Seven Year Itch. Monroe was pictured standing over a subway grate in the dress on the film’s NYC set in 1954, and the look has since become one of the most recognizable and most-referenced fashion moments of all time.
Chopra’s white dress was maxi-length, with a deep-V neckline and a halter strap that exposes her back. The dress is fitted throughout the bodice with a drop waist. Chopra paired the dress with white cat eye sunglasses reminiscent of the 1950s, but modernized the ensemble with white pointed-toe heeled spring boots and hoop earrings. She wore her brown hair down in soft, glamorous curls and a middle part. For makeup, she went for very rosy cheeps and a matching matte lip.
