Hot off the heels from her promo tour for ‘Peter Pan & Wendy,’ Yara Shahidi served up fairy-goddess energy on the red carpet for the 2023 Met Gala.
On the red carpet the actress shared that Chanel was the first fashion house she worked with when she attended her first fashion show back in 2017.
She told La La Anthony on the red carpet that, “My genuine appreciation for fashion comes from that experience.”
And she has been guided ever since by her stylist Jason Bolden, who worked with the house of Jean Paul Gaultier to create this custom bronzed look.
The top half is part of an archived Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2008 Haute Couture look, while the draped skirt appears to nod to Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel Spring 1993 Haute Couture collection.
Cartier jewels and Jimmy Choo Max platforms completed her look.
