Zendaya attended the Bulgari Mediterranea High Jewelry event held at Palazzo Ducale in Venice with her fellow ambassadors.
You may be surprised to learn that the actress was wearing a custom gown from Richard Quinn, as the designer is known for his bold (usually floral) prints, and looks which grab your attention with his use of innovative fabrications.
Yet he gave Zendaya the old Hollywood treatment as she glided down the red carpet wearing a black summer velvet (it’s a thing now) off-the-shoulder gown which was free from embellishments.
If you were to ask me what the blueprint was for a dress that would provide the perfect canvas for a jewelry event, this would be it, but I learned today from both Priyanka and Anne that embellishment looks and dazzling jewels can work in perfect harmony.
I would’ve thought Zendaya would go for the most extravagant jeweled piece considering her black gown, but her Bulgari Mediterranea necklace was just as simple, elegant, and understated.
Those of you who were growing tired of the bob will be happy she switched things up for this retro sleek style which matched the energy of her look.
