The Givenchy menswear Spring 2024 show took place during Paris Fashion Week on Thursday (June 22) with some lady friends of the house in the front row.
Noomi Rapace has had some great moments in Givenchy, but isn’t this one of them.
A long sleeve, turtleneck jacquard dress wouldn’t be my first (second or third) choice for a non-air conditioned venue in Paris in June with what looks like fun-fur pumps, but I remember when Madelyn Cline wore this dress to the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, that this dress has an open back, so there was some reprieve.
Quintessa Swindell appears to have had something of a style shift, as the edgier looks they started their red carpet journey with, have given way to more sultry moments like this sheer Givenchy dress.
It looks like Quintessa was onto something by going sheer, as I also couldn’t imagine wearing leather right now, but as a model, Leomie Anderson is used to being in extreme conditions as models usually shoot winter campaigns in summer, and summer campaigns in winter.
Setting aside my angst for heavy fabrics worn in summer, Leomie was looking both sexy and sophisticated in this keyhole Givenchy Fall 2023 leather look, even if the gloves weren’t necessary for me to buy what she is selling.
I think a few of us wanted to see this Givenchy Fall 2023 pink dress again after seeing it on Halsey during the amfAR Cannes Gala, and my final verdict is only the model on the runway is selling the dress.
Tatiana Verstraeten over styled the look for me. I can only see Anja Rubik making this work, as it’s going to need a minimalist queen to sell this look.
