On June 27, Hailey Bieber wore this summer’s biggest anti-fashion trend on an outing in Los Angeles, combining a pair of thick black fisherman sandals with folded-over white crew socks. What once was considered fashion’s biggest faux pas is officially influencer-approved, though it’s always been a favorite of suburban dads.
The controversial footwear topped off an otherwise classic summer outfit combination of denim shorts, a white cropped tank top, and a slightly oversized trench coat. Hailey Bieber kept her makeup minimal, topping off the look with a pair of gold hoops and skinny black shades. Of course, the Rhode Skin mogul managed to add a bit of interest with the jacket’s dramatic shoulder pads and, of course, the socks and sandals.
