Kate Middleton’s extremely high ponytail is so perfect that it genuinely looks like the hair of an animated character (or Ariana Grande). Maybe she could play Megara in Disney’s upcoming live-action Hercules remake?
The Princess of Wales wore her hair up to the gods on Wednesday, June 7 while participating in Rugby drills alongside local and professional players in Maidenhead, England. (Middleton is Patron of the Rugby Football Union, a role which previously belonged to Prince Harry.) The princess’s ponytail defied both the elements and gravity by staying put, a feat to inspire envy in long-haired athletes everywhere. Though we’d expect nothing less from the woman whose blowout has never been anything less than perfect.
Middleton’s visit also included a discussion about her Shaping Us campaign, and how the community can support children in their early childhood. “During early childhood, from pregnancy to the age of five, our brains develop at an amazing rate—faster than at any other time in our lives,” reads a statement on the Shaping Us website. “Providing strong support for children, parents and carers during these most preventative years is essential and can have a life-changing impact.”
For the sporting event, Middleton paired her Sporty Spice-inspired pony with a turquoise blue short-sleeve crew neck tee, which was tucked into high-waisted navy blue joggers. She accessorized with crisp white sneakers and tiny gold hoops. She wore makeup that accentuated her eyes with dark mascara and liner.
