Another breakup has shaken the Vanderpump Rules cast. That’s right, Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval are calling it quits.
Last week Schwartz announced that he was taking a “break” from his BFF Sandoval in light of his affair with costar Raquel Leviss, adding that he felt his friend “exploited” his loyalty. “It’s hard for me not to be resentful of him,” Schwartz said on the When Reality Hits podcast.
Now, on the latest episode of Stars on Mars, Schwartz said he’s “stepping away” from his friendship with Sandoval “permanently.”
“It seems each time I try to weigh in or talk about, ramble on about it, drivel on, I inevitably sound like I’m somehow justifying it or making excuses for it, and I’m not,” Schwartz said. “There’s just no excuse for it.”
“My friend had an affair that just happened to swipe the nation and it’s incredibly messed up, but the thing is I’ve become mired in it,” he added. “That’s been a huge source of just angst in my life. I’ve been in this extended funk.”
Schwartz added that he feels “complicit” in the “incredibly messed up” affair, but stands by his statement that he never aided Sandoval’s indiscretion. This comes after Sandoval’s ex, Ariana Madix, accused Schwartz of “actively participating in my downfall” during the Vanderpump Rules reunion.

“I didn’t cover for him, but I had his back,” he said. “He came to me, confided in me that he was in love with someone else.”
“Any sort of version of his side of the story has become obsolete because of the way he handled it,” he continued. “Ultimately, that’s his life. I did not have an affair. I am not him. It’s just so strange that I’ve been absolutely mired in this. It’s taken on almost a life of its own.”
There’s no word on what this means for TomTom, the bar that Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval cofounded in 2018.
