A year after its launch in New York, Vogue World is heading across the pond.
Condé Nast will stage the second edition of Vogue World in London this fall. Set to take place on Sept. 14. at London’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane, the event will serve as an unofficial kick-off to London Fashion Week
2022′s Vogue World, originally conceived as a celebration of the magazine’s 130th anniversary, took the form of a New York street fair and fashion show. This year’s will be a theatrical production, meant to emulate a West End opening night and celebrate the performing arts in London. Stephen Daldry, the British director known for projects like Billy Elliot and The Crown, is serving as a creative adviser.
During the event, British rapper Stormzy, actress and singer Michaela Coel and dance company Rambert will perform. It will also feature a fashion show with looks from the autumn/winter 2023 collections of both global powerhouse fashion houses and emerging British designers. Corresponding live activations will take place in to-be-announced cities across the globe.
On Wednesday, members of Vogue Club, Vogue’s online membership program, had 48-hour presale access to Vogue World tickets; general admission tickets to the event will go on sale June 2. Ticket sales will benefit performing arts organisations in London, including the National Theatre and Royal Opera House. Vogue will also livestream the event.
