Janelle Monáe made a return to the spotlight for The Hollywood Reporter Beauty Dinner held at Holloway House on Wednesday (October 25) in West Hollywood, California.
The singer-actress is frequently seen in tuxedos, and her outfits almost always have a black and white palette, but red has always been the third option.
Think the 2018 Oscars, the 2023 NAACP Image Awards and the ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ London Film Festival premiere.
What all those looks have in common, aside from the colour, is drama.

I love how she made the look sassier by shortening the length, and her styling – Jimmy Choo Alva sandals and a RODO clutch – because when Janelle commits to a theme, or colour, she always goes all in.
