Tems attended the 2023 TIME100 Next event held on Tuesday (October 24) in New York City, where she joined other artists, entertainers and storytellers creating impactful work that were spotlighted on this year’s list.
As this was a gala event, the Nigerian singer-songwriter graced the red carpet wearing a Danielle Frankel Nina pleated wool and silk-blend satin gown.
Though Danielle Frankel is a bridal designer, her pieces are intended to be worn for any celebration, however, bridal wasn’t the first thing to spring to mind when I saw this gown.
I adore the playful proportions which Tems pulls off effortlessly, but this fabric has the potential to undo the hard work of the designer, and be a little unforgiving. Plus, I wish there had been some work on the bodice for a more seamless fit.
However, with all that being said, this was still a magical moment for Tems.
The singer styled her look with a beautiful updo, and a Cult Gaia Annika clutch.
