Here is a roundup from British Vogue’s 2023 ‘Forces For Change’ Party held at The MAINE Mayfair on Thursday (November 23) in London.
Fluid designs are Loewe’s forte, especially when trompe l’oeil prints are at play.
In this case the A-line boxy silhouette of Alexa Chung’s Loewe Fall 2023 dress comes to life with a contrasting trench coat-inspired graphic for a trendsetting trick on the eye.
However, I think I would have been more excited about this look had it been worn by Tilda Swinton. This feels very much like a Tilda Swinton dress.
The look was complete with a Prada bag.
Gemma Chan kept the boots from her last outing, but switched back to Louis Vuitton wearing a black lace dress which reminds me that the label do make playful designs.
Outerwear has been the main attraction on the red carpet recently – mostly in menswear – so Lil Simz hopped on the trend wearing this trench coat from the Acne Studios Spring 2024 collection.
Either she’s wearing the coat as a dress, or she’s wearing a micro dress underneath.
Maya Jama was channelling Sandy from ‘Grease’ wearing Atsuko Kudo’s Couture latex jacket and leggings, styled with Ainsley-T heels.
This might be blasphemous to say, but Ramla Ali’s Alexander McQueen dress reminds me of Marchesa’s early Asian-inspired red carpet designs.
Does anyone else feel that Saffron Hocking’s Versace Enver dress feels a bit too formal for the occasion?
The shoes….? Yikes. I hope this is the last we see of this trend. No more cloudy pumps in 2024 please.
