On Saturday, (November 4) notables from the art, film, fashion, and entertainment industries united at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) to honour artist Judy Baca and filmmaker David Fincher.
Gala co-chairs included LACMA trustee Eva Chow and actor Leonardo DiCaprio, Gucci Creative Director Sabato De Sarno, who was joined by Gucci President & CEO Jean-François Palus.
Guests were treated to a special performance by Lenny Kravitz followed by dinner prepared by three-time Michelin Star Award Winner Chef Mattia Agazzi of Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura in Beverly Hills.
Jessica Chastain was in attendance as the most high-profile Gucci ambassador, and the only celebrity who had – until this point – worn a custom look by Sabato De Sarno.
If 2023 has taught us anything, you can always expect a generous dose of exquisite embellishments from Jessica Chastain, but this gown takes things to a whole new echelon of glamour.
Its simple column silhouette is intricately detailed with thousands of crystals and bugle beads that catch the light and dazzle, while the Gucci Fine Jewelry makes the piece feel decidedly regal.
I knew it wouldn’t take Sabato and Jessica long to find their groove. This is breath-taking to me, and one of many looks to add to her best looks of 2023.
