There are celebrity mother-daughter twins and then there is Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford. The lookalike pair have been galavanting around New York City, as supermodels do, looking gorgeous on the red carpet, also as supermodels do.
On November 15, the duo wore Ralph Lauren to the National Book Awards, where their outfits could not disguise the fact that they have practically the same face. Both opted for a neutral color-palette—Gerber in chocolate brown and Crawford in pure white—but while Gerber wore a dress, her mother opted for chic suiting.
Gerber’s strapless suede gown—a vintage piece from Ralph Lauren’s Fall/Winter 2001 show—featured a simple, figure-skimming silhouette, with a leather band at the neckline for a touch of visual interest. Crawford, meanwhile, went with a very on-trend monochrome look. She paired her tapered trousers with a fitted blazer, silk blouse, and envelope clutch.
