This is a move we would expect of Emmett or Jacob, but definitely not sweet and shy Bella! Kristen Stewart, however, has always been braver than the teen-turned vampire who made her famous, and she recently crashed her Twilight love interest (and former boyfriend) Robert Pattinson’s birthday just for fun.
It was a full-on Twi-union as Stewart showed up without an invitation (though she did ask permission to come in) to Pattinson’s 37th birthday gathering, where she was shocked to find Catherine Hardwicke, director of the first Twilight movie.
“When Kristen walked into Rob’s birthday she’s like, ‘Catherine? Rob’s birthday? What’s going on?’ I go, ‘I kinda crashed it with Toni.’ And she goes, ‘Well, I crashed it too,’” Hardwicke revealed during a recent podcast interview, per People. Toni in this case is Toni Colette, who is friends with Hardwicke and recently finished working with Pattinson.

Hardwicke said of the impromptu reunion, revealed on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, “It was just like, ‘Oh, my God!’ We all hugged each other—like, this is so crazy and cool,” adding that Pattinson “of course” welcomed his ex to his party, as “he’s such a lovely person.”
It’s so nice to hear that the exes are on good terms, as they went through a lot during their time as a couple and as the coleads of a major franchise. They shot to fame and were scrutinized by the media and even weathered a cheating scandal as a couple before Pattinson ultimately found love with Suki Waterhouse, who is currently pregnant with their first child, and Kristen Stewart came out as “so gay, dude”–she’s now engaged to Dylan Meyer!
