Paloma Faith made a guest appearance on BBC Radio 2 in London, where she promoted her latest single, ‘How You Leave A Man’, from her upcoming album, ‘The Glorification of Sadness.’
The British singer is known for her flamboyant stage shows, and show-stopping red carpet appearances (most recently in a punk inspired Alexander McQueen look), so you night be looking at this SHUSHU/TONG Fall 2023 look and feeling she opted to mute her usual style on this occasion.
But for me, this is classic Paloma, in terms of being vintage inspired.
In an interview she once said, “I don’t really feel I am of this time,” also adding that she’s often inspired by the pin ups of the 1940s and 50s.
While this might be missing voluminous retro waves and her usual perfect crimson pout, there is a heavy dose of 50s nostalgia which is imbued by the silhouette, and the charming ruffle and bow details.
