Hunter Schafer attended ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes’ world premiere held at the BFI IMAX Waterloo on Thursday (November 9) in London, following the photocall earlier in the day.
The actress wore a look from the Prada Spring 2009 collection.
Well, at least I can confirm that the fabric and style is, because Hunter’s exact red carpet look wasn’t shown on the runway back in 2009.
I don’t know for sure, but I will assume that this is a custom piece, made with ‘The Hunger Games’ gold backdrop in mind, which was also part of Josh Andres Rivera’s thought process when selecting his red carpet look.
I love how the two-pieces shimmer in a stunning wrinkled gold foil fabric, woven from metal and silk.
As we all know, rumpled and crinkled fabrics have been appearing all over the runways and red carpet, so despite not knowing for sure if this may or may not be from directly from the Spring 2009 collection, it is very much on trend and of the moment.
