Vanessa Kirby joined her co-star Joaquin Phoenix on the red carpet for the world premiere of their new film, ‘Napoleon’ held at Salle Pleyel on Tuesday (November 14) in Paris.
As much as we love a Vanessa Kirby column dress moment – of which she has given us plenty – I was delighted to see her do something different in this gown from Alexander McQueen.
Some would argue that it is only the wrap skirt that has been added to her favoured silhouette, but this look still sits in the “something new” category we were hoping to see from the British actress.
What I love most about this look is that it oozes with the rich history of Alexander McQueen black gowns with gold embroidery.
Jessica Chastain at the 2012 Oscars, Anna Paquin at the 2010 Emmys, Amanda Seyfried at the 2012 Les Misérables New York premiere and Beyonce at the 2011 Met Gala immediately spring to mind.
Vanessa completed her look with tousled tresses, a sultry red lip and Cartier Libre Tressage bracelet and ring in 18k yellow gold.
