This has got to be the most dress I’ve seen on a single person this side of Princess Diana’s wedding. Halle Bailey, attending the premiere of The Color Purple on December 6 in Los Angeles, walked the carpet in a scarlet gown with multiple tiers of pleated, heavily ruffled taffeta skirt and a criss-crossed halter neck on the bodice. This is just so much dress. Julie Andrews could fashion a new wardrobe for seven Von Trap children using only the fabric from this dress.

Bailey herself looked gorgeous, of course, accessorizing with diamond statement earrings but no other jewelry. She went with a soft glam, matching her deep red lipstick to the color of the dress.
