In recent years Nicole Kidman has perfected her fashion formula for red-carpet appearances. Her choices span glamorous black dresses with daring cutouts and dangerously high thigh slits to impeccable tailoring worn with sleek accessories. However, for her most recent press appearances while promoting the TV series Expats, Nicole has embraced a more refined and nostalgic aesthetic, reminiscent of her ’90s style.
In the latest Instagram carousel shared by her stylist Jason Bolden, the award-winning actor was seen wearing a series of outfits that evoked memories of the power suits worn by her character Suzanne Stone from the 1995 Gus van Sant film To Die For. In one snap she rocked a retro-inspired Balmain look from the brand’s spring-summer 2024 collection, comprising a black bolero jacket cinching at the waist and adorned with blue rose-shaped buttons, and a white satin miniskirt featuring vibrant red polka dots. She finished off the look with David Yurman drop earrings.
In another picture, the Hollywood star opted for a wool button-up jacket and miniskirt set courtesy of Versace, paired with dainty black leather The Row Mary Jane flats. Is Nicole Kidman ushering in a ladylike fashion era to kickstart the new year? It’s too early to say, but one thing’s for sure—she looks fantastic.
