The cast of ‘The Crown’ – past and present – bid farewell to the Netflix series at the premiere of the final season held at the Royal Festival Hall, on London’s South Bank on Tuesday (December 5).
Emma Corrin kinda stole the show wearing a custom Miu Miu.
Not only because they wore a transparent skirt with their sleek ivory blazer and bow tie, more so because of the reference.
Emma bid farewell to the character who put her in the spotlight by paying homage to Princess Diana’s ivory suit worn to trip to Florence in 1985.
Emma’s reimagining of the look was a beautiful tribute combining the past, with the present fashion wise, because we all know all too well how current the sheer trend is.
Cartier jewels completed her look.

Elizabeth Debicki served up her usual quiet elegance in a Christian Dior Fall 2023 Haute Couture embellished gown styled with Dior jewels, and Roger Vivier pumps.
It was kinda apt that Emma and Elizabeth were on the red carpet at the same time for this finale, as their styles perfectly portrayed both the elegant and rebellious side to Princess Diana’s style.

Following Gillian Anderson’s breath-taking Hall of Fame Valentino Haute Couture moment at The Fashion Awards, this Monique Lhuillier Spring 2024 was highly disappointing.
The bodice really killed this look for me, and I can’t say I’m enthused by a polka dot dress in general for Gillian.
Boucheron jewels completed her look.
Meg Bellamy, who plays Kate Middleton in the series, also appeared to have a reference moment, because her Valentino long sleeve cream dress reminded me of the then Duchess’ cream Roland Mouret gown wore for dinner at London’s Claridges in 2012, which she also wore to the premiere of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom a year later.
Messika jewels and Malone Souliers satin pumps completed her look.
Styled by Felicity Kay.
Ed McVey, who plays Prince William, made a strong statement wearing a Fendi Men’s Spring 2024 three-piece suit accented with decorative stitching which appears to mimic the bespoke tailoring process of creating a suit.
Olivia Williams, who plays Camilla Parker Bowles, looked very elegant in her Lanvin Fall 2023 red velvet dress.
I love the subtle edge imbued via the silver eyelet detail on the shoulder, and black studded Lanvin Muse leather pumps which I’m surprised she wore.
Styled by Miranda Almond.
Lesley Manville, who plays Princess Margaret, wore a Huishan Zhang Resort 2024 tweed dress.
This wasn’t one of those “seen one tweed dress, seen them all,” kind of moments, thanks to the pleated detail on the skirt and the exaggerated hips.
Luther Ford, who plays Prince Harry, wore a Fendi Fall 2023 Collection suit curated with Stefano Pilati.
We have seen many fail to nail the proportions of the oversized trend, but Luther didn’t run into those issues.
Viola Prettejohn, who is the fourth and final actor to portray the Queen on The Crown, as a young Queen Elizabeth II, brought some youthful flair to this red carpet wearing a Courrèges Fall 2023 shift dress.
I love how the white boot amped up the ’60s flair of her shift dress.
Sadly, Josh O’Connor wasn’t at the event.
The Crown Season 6, Part 2 final six episodes streams on Netflix from December 14.
