Here is a menswear roundup from Monday night’s 75th Primetime Emmy Awards.
I have really missed Donald Glover, his unique style, and Bode looks on the red carpet.
Donald really is one-of-one style-wise. The only thing missing from this look was a pipe, as he already has the slippers.
Cartier jewels completed his look.
Styled By Ilaria Urbinati.
Tyler James Williams is also a one-of-one, as he repeatedly shuns the conventional for the unconventional.
In this case he was channelling his inner 80s’ Eddie Murphy in ‘Raw’ wearing a leather Dolce & Gabbana Sicilia-Fit double-breasted shawl lapel suit.
This was near perfect, as the trousers needed better tailoring, or perhaps Dolce & Gabbana were inspired by Eddie Murphy and decided to leave the hem raw edged.
Styled by Ilaria Urbinati.
Only someone with a personality as big as Anthony Anderson could pull off this floral embroidered Etro suit, which he styled with a Jacob & Co. Brilliant ruby baguette timepiece and Jimmy Choo Foxley loafers.
Billy Harris wore a striped flared suit with a shawl collar shirt from Daniel W. Fletcher x Huntsman Fall 2023 collaboration, which offers a contemporary reimagining of British heritage style which is nuanced with the themes of bespoke tailoring.
Charlie Puth found the perfect pair of Christian Louboutin Chambeliboot Night Strass boots with crystal detailing to complement the embellishments on his Balmain shirt.
Styled by David Thomas.
The “undone” look has been trending in menswear this awards season, but this has been James Lance style for quite some time.
He mastered it once again without looking unkempt.
This Canali suit is perhaps proof that James Marsden can’t do wrong in a classic tux.
An OMEGA timepiece and Christian Louboutin Alleo lace up shoes completed his look.
Styled by Ilaria Urbinati.
Pedro Pascal’s Valentino look, especially designed for him by Pierpaolo Piccioli, was surprisingly mute by his standards.
Perhaps the brief was for his sling to blend into his outfit.
Before you write Phil Dunster’s Made To Measure Fendi Men’s look off as another black black suit, zoom in on that jacket. The shimmering details made it light up like a midnight sky under the lights.
The look was styled with an OMEGA timepiece.
Styled by Warren Alfie Baker.
Looking at Reece Feldman’s Instagram informs me that I need to keep up with this young mans looks, as this Saint Laurent suit, styled with an extra-long silk chiffon and satin scarf and Saint Laurent Xiv boots, is one of his more understated looks.
Theo James was a man with distinction in this custom Dolce & Gabbana suit.
Everything looks and feels so glossy here.
Styled by Mary-Anna Kearney.
Tom Hiddleston gave us our first menswear look from the Givenchy Fall 2024 collection which he styled with Cowboy boots.
Grey isn’t his colour. Navy or green would be my preference right now.
