Penelope Cruz attended the 2024 Governors Awards in Hollywood on Tuesday evening where she showcased a much lighter hair colour.
We have noted in the past that Chanel doesn’t give their ambassador enough custom gowns, especially during awards season.
But for Penelope, Virginie Viard took inspiration from her Chanel Fall 2023 Haute Couture collection to combine a white and ivory embroidered crop top (look 14) with a tiered maxi skirt (look 41) to create a look oozing with Parisian allure and a delicate yet bold femininity.
Considering I often struggle with Penelope’s red carpet looks, this feels fresh and poised perfectly for awards season.
Some might say this look was too twee or point to the skirt and say that the Spanish actress has worn something like this before.
I’m just happy this has the essence of an awards season gown coming off the back of her Gotham Awards look and her Ferrari promo tour.
