Honestly. I wasn’t blown away with Taraji P. Henson’s promo tour for ‘The Color Purple,’ but it kinda didn’t matter because we were paying so much attention to Fantasia Barrino.
But Taraji had my full attention at the 2024 Governors Awards in Hollywood on Tuesday evening wearing this Valdrin Sahiti gown which was full of sophisticated charm.
The designer loves to play with shapes to create dynamic and empowering pieces as we saw with Halle Bailey’s aquatic gown for ‘The Little Mermaid’ LA premiere.
Here, the drama is spilling from the sparkling three-dimensional leaf appliqués which cascade down the body.
I don’t need to check back over Taraji’s style file because this is the best she has looked in a year.
My jaw is dropping.
