When I saw America Ferrera step onto the red carpet for the 2024 SAG Awards, I thought I was seeing things for a moment.
Because surely the actress isn’t wearing the same Dior Haute Couture gown which Dior ambassador Jennifer Lawrence wore to the 2018 BAFTAs?
I zoomed. Then I zoomed again, and it turns out that they are not the same gown, because America’s gown has a belt, and it doesn’t have the patch pocket detail we saw on Jennifer’s gown.
However, those are micro details when you take in the structure, fabric, and white organza sleeves are the same.
So even though they are not the same gown, you can just as easily say that they are.
