On Saturday, Charli XCX attended the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy gala held at The Beverly Hilton.
I’m glad to see that the British singer has evolved past her ‘90s grungy club kid era.
She could have easily maneuvered into the neo goth space, and given us all-black all of the time, but this modern sophistication with an edge niche she has carved out for herself is far more interesting.
Charli wore a sleeveless blue leather dress from the Marni Spring 2024 collection designed by Creative Director Francesco Risso.
As we know, this collection hasn’t been an easy one to pull off on the red carpet.
There was a huge potential for Charli to trip, quite literally, in this dress, but thankfully her stylist opted to shorten the hemline.
The dress was quite long on the runway, so I’m glad this wasn’t one of those times when the stylist dressed their client in a look straight-off-the-runway, added a pair of platforms and hoped for the best.
