Taylor Swift dropped into the 2024 Grammy Awards this evening, as the singer will travel overseas for back-to-back concerts at the Tokyo Dome in Japan as part of her ‘Eras’ world tour straight after the ceremony, where she is nominated in six categories.
Daniel Roseberry created this stunning draped Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown with a sculptural detail enhancing the slit, which see the singer step away from the expected mini embellished dress or the prom style gowns which have become her trademark.
Even though this look nodded to her ‘Reputation’ era, the styling took the gloss of this look for me.
The hair needed to be cleaner, and simpler.
I can take or leave the Lorraine Schwartz necklaces, but the velvet black gloves brought a heaviness to the look when they weren’t disappearing into the step and repeat.
I’m really bummed because this had the potential to be a Hall of Famer for Taylor.
I can see that she wanted this to be an edgy look, but it didn’t need to be.
