Jennifer Lawrence took the evening off wearing Dior for the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
The general consensus was that her Dior Haute Couture gown wasn’t an Oscar worthy look, so I’m intrigued to know how you feel about this vintage Givenchy Fall 1996 Haute Couture empire waist gown accented with a short balloon sleeved coat – aside from the obvious sheerness.
I love how it follows the same delicate nature of her first look as classic elegance was her M.O. for the evening.
And I also like how the gown lights up with the embellished tone-on-tone acanthus ornaments, but my first thought was milkmaid, which could be in due to the hairstyle.

Is anyone else curious as to why the Givenchy archives seems to be the hall pass given to ambassadors of other houses?
