Oh no, not this again. A British brunette named Kate has been hospitalized for unspecified reasons. This time it’s Kate Beckinsale, who took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message for UK Mother’s Day and included photos of herself in a hospital bed looking tired. Fans have expressed worry and confusion in the comments. Also, she is wearing a large bow on her head in one of the pictures.
“Happy birthday and UK Mother’s Day this last week to my incredible mother,” Beckinsale wrote in her caption. The first slide in her post is a screen grab of a message exchange between the actor and her mom, followed by a video of her mom enjoying champagne, a picture of her mom with a cake, a nice selfie her mom took, and her mom and a friend enjoying a drink. Pretty normal stuff!

The next part of the caption alluded to perhaps recent struggles in the Underworld star’s life. “Thank you to those that love us and support us when it’s shit and try to make sure there are some bits that aren’t. And for looking after our dogs when we can’t, and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t. And turn up when we are sick and sit with us . . And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love,” Beckinsale continued. This section of the caption seems to go with the rest of the pictures, which are Beckinsale wearing a bow in a hospital bed, taking a selfie in that hospital bed, a friend hanging out in her hospital room, and Beckinsale’s Pomeranian Myf with two other dogs, presumably the pets of the people who are taking care of Myf right now.
